What Are Machine Screws

Machine screws are precision fasteners with threads that run the entire length of the shank. They are designed to be used with pre tapped holes or nuts. Unlike wood screws or self tapping screws, machine screws do not cut their own thread. They require a tapped hole or a nut to create a secure joint.
