EPDM Washer Sealing Screws Zinc Plated Hex Phillips Pan Cap Head For Outdoor Electrical Enclosures And Meter Boxes

Sealing screws come with a rubber ring already fitted under the head. Tighten them and the rubber compresses against the surface. No water gets in. No dust gets in. No sealant needed. IP67 and IP68 rated. Stainless steel 304, 316, or zinc plated. Phillips pan head, hex washer head, or hex socket. M4 M5 M6.

    ❓
What problem does a sealing screw solve?

Water finds its way through screw holes. Dust does too. Regular screws leave gaps between the head and the surface. Those gaps let moisture in. Over time, the hole rusts. The screw corrodes. The connection fails. Sealing screws fix that before it starts.

    How it works
    sealing screw mechanism

Look under the head. You will see a rubber ring sitting in a groove. When you drive the screw in, that ring gets squeezed between the head and the surface. The gap disappears. Water cannot get past. Dust cannot get past. The seal gets tighter the more you turn.

    Where the seal comes from

It is all about that rubber ring. Different rubber compounds handle different conditions:

NBR: Stands up to oil and grease.
Silicone: Handles extreme heat and cold.
EPDM: Resists sun, rain, and weather.
FKM: Holds up against harsh chemicals.

Pick the right one for your job.

    Three head styles we offer
Phillips pan head: The standard. Works with any Phillips screwdriver. Most people grab this one.
Hex washer head: Has a flange built into it. Acts like a washer. No separate parts needed.
Hex socket head: Uses an Allen key. Fits tight spaces where a screwdriver does not reach.

    Material choices

304 stainless steel: Resists rust. Good for most outdoor work.

316 stainless steel: Gives you extra protection. Use it near saltwater.

Zinc plated steel: The budget option. Works fine for indoor or light outdoor.

    Quick Q&A
Q: Do I still need sealant? A: No. The rubber ring seals it. Just drive the screw in.
Q: Which rubber should I pick for outdoor use? A: EPDM for general outdoor. FKM for chemicals. Silicone for extreme temperatures. NBR for oil and grease.
Q: What is the difference between IP67 and IP68? A: IP67 means 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. IP68 means longer submersion.
Q: Can I reuse these screws? A: Yes. The rubber compresses and bounces back. Reuse them several times.
Q: Do you make custom sizes? A: Yes. Send us your drawing or sample. We will make what you need.
