The Science of Grade 12.9 Socket Screws
For heavy-duty machinery, the fastener is the most critical point of failure. Our High Strength Hex Socket Screws are manufactured from premium alloy steel, specifically designed to handle dynamic loads and vibration in industrial environments.
Unlike standard Grade 8.8 or 10.9 bolts, our Grade 12.9 fasteners offer a minimum tensile strength of 1220 MPa. This is achieved through a meticulous heat treatment process where the steel is heated to its austenitizing temperature and then rapidly quenched to form martensite. Subsequent tempering ensures the perfect balance between extreme hardness and essential ductility.
