Hex Socket Sealing Screws 304 Stainless Steel Allen Head Rubber O Ring IP67 For Junction Box Assembly

Hex socket sealing screws come with an Allen drive and a rubber ring under the head. Tighten them and the rubber squishes flat against the surface. Water and dust stay out. No sealant needed. IP67 and IP68 rated. Stainless steel or zinc plated. Hex socket head. M4 M5 M6. Fits tight spaces where a Phillips driver won't go.

    Allen drive makes the difference

Most sealing screws use a Phillips head. These use a hex socket. You drive them with an Allen key. Why does that matter? Because an Allen key goes straight in from the top. It does not need side clearance. In tight electrical boxes, that side clearance is exactly what you do not have. The Allen key also gives you more leverage. You can crank it down harder, which compresses the O ring more, which gives you a better seal.

Key Feature Rubber ring under the head

There is a rubber O ring sitting in a groove under the head. When you tighten the screw, that ring gets squeezed between the head and the surface. The harder you tighten, the tighter the seal. By the time the head sits flush, the rubber has filled every gap.

    Which rubber to pick

NBR: handles oil. Good for engines and machinery.
Silicone: handles heat and cold. Stays flexible in both.
EPDM: handles sun and rain. Good for outdoor work.
FKM: handles chemicals. Use it where solvents are present.

    Metal choices

304 stainless steel: does the job for most outdoor work.
316 stainless steel: is better near saltwater.
Zinc plated steel: is the budget pick. Good for indoor jobs.

    Waterproof ratings

IP67: means one meter of water for thirty minutes. No leaks.
IP68: means you can leave it underwater longer.

    FAQ

What tool do I need? An Allen key. Size matches the socket, not the head. Are these waterproof? Yes. The O ring seals it when tightened. What does IP67 mean? One meter of water for thirty minutes. No leaks. Can I use these outside? Yes. Use stainless steel. 316 is better near saltwater. Do I need sealant? No. The O ring does the job. Can I reuse them? Yes. Rubber bounces back. Use them several times.
